Welcome to dB Noise Reduction

Emergency and stand-by power generation

Emergency and back-up power systems typically utilize large engines or turbines that require intake air and exhaust systems that incorporate both silencers and engine mufflers to breathe and function properly and safely.

In the case of turbines used to generate power, their precision requires that intake air must be filtered and typically preconditioned before it meets the turbine. Many systems also require duct noise reduction and noise reduction enclosures or small acoustically treated buildings.

dB Noise Reduction® Inc engineers, designs and manufactures the following for emergency and standby power generation applications:

  • custom intake and exhaust system silencers
  • vent and blowdown silencers
  • exhaust stack insert silencers positioned at top, intermediary, or after fan/manifold locations
  • acoustic access doors for men and equipment
  • filtration and sensor packages
  • acoustic louvers
  • acoustic flex connectors
  • acoustic barriers and temporary acoustic barriers
  • full noise reduction enclosures and buildings
  • isolators
  • flexible membrane noise curtains

And many other engineered noise control product-based solutions to reduce the equipment and site noise levels for the unique requirements for emergency and standby power generation.
